From Mechanical Engineering to Cybersecurity — self-taught, home-lab built, and actively hunting for my first SOC role.
WHAT I DO
Skills built hands-on — through a self-built SOC lab, two internships, and continuous PortSwigger grind.
Built a full SOC home lab from scratch — Wazuh SIEM + Suricata IDS/IPS in inline NFQUEUE mode, custom detection rules, MITRE ATT&CK tagging, active response, and Postfix email alerting.
Progressing through PortSwigger Web Security Academy — authentication vulnerabilities, HTTP request smuggling, and SSO attacks. Learning offensive techniques to think like an attacker.
Built Python security tools for real internships — packet analyzer, keylogger, XOR image encryption, and password checker. All documented and portfolio-ready on GitHub.
Building security-aware web apps with Firebase backends and GitHub Pages deployments. Currently developing an Ambulance Alert System with OTP auth and Maps integration.
The engineering mindset — understanding how systems fail, diagnosing root causes, building from first principles — is something I carry directly into cybersecurity every day.
WHAT I'VE BUILT
Real tools. Real deployments. No toy examples.
Gemini-powered threat detection tool that analyzes emails and URLs for phishing indicators, malware patterns, and suspicious behavior in real-time. Deployed on GitHub Pages.
Real-time emergency alert app with OTP authentication, PWA support, and Google Maps integration. Actively being developed and hardened.
Wazuh SIEM + Suricata IDS/IPS + Kali Linux attacker node. Custom rules with MITRE tagging, active response via firewall-drop, and Postfix email alerting — fully self-built.
5-tool suite built for internship: Caesar cipher, XOR image encryption, password complexity checker, keylogger, and network packet analyzer. All on GitHub.
